David Rain

In The Fire Within, the main character, David Rain, a quite normal 20 year old guy,  moves in to a house as a tenant.  The moment he settles in the house he starts changing.

He gets used to things

·         He gets used to seeing inanimate clay dragons everywhere in the house.

·         The daughter of the owner, Lucy, is annoying, always  yammering on about squirrels and running around the garden looking for them. David gets used to it and after he gets used to Lucy yammering, he actually becomes friends with her and starts liking squirrels.

·         He gets used to His neighbor Henry, A strict squirrel hating Librarian

·         When a mysterious Aunty Gwyneth comes to stay and David is moved to a different room, he gets used to it.

·         He gets used to the Pennykettles Cat, Bonnington.

·         After he is affected by aunty Gwyneth’s potion he gets used to being able to talk to dragons

 He changes his habits.

·         The owner of the house (Liz Pennykettle)  doesn’t like him to chop carrot peels into the sink.

He learns.

·         You mustn’t Make a dragon cry. it’ll cry its fire tear and it won’t be special anymore.

·         Bonnington Likes Chunky Chunks Cat Food

·         He learns how to speak dragon.

·         He learns how to see Dragons move.

David reminds Me of Eragon Shadeslayer from Eragon, They both change a lot in their books also they both have something to do with Dragons.

As you can plainly see, David is no longer a normal 20-year-old guy.
